Pelaw Grange Dogs FC are based in Pelaw Grange Chester-le-Street and play their home games at the southern area playing fields Rickleton in Washington. They are members of the Durham & District Sunday League.
Formally known as the Barley Mow Inn Pub they changed location in the 2006-2007 seasons to the Pelaw Grange Dog Track. The club was formed by Gary Nation (aka Nash) in 2003 and he was manager for many years. The club is currently run by Paul Swinburn (Manager) who has been at the club since it was formed as a player and assistant manager and Alan Elders (Secretary) who have been with the club for the last three seasons.
The Dogs have just completed there 8th season of running finishing Division Three League Champions under manager Paul Swinburn and are currently unbeaten in 2012 after a 14 game unbeaten run which started with a draw followed by 13 wins back to back.
As part of league rules Pelaw Grange Dogs FC are now an official charter standard club and have a Level 1 FA coach. The team are already looking forward to the 2012-2013 season and manager Paul Swinburn is on the look out for additional players to strengthen the squad.
